Diversity and Inclusivity Commitment

We respect, and appreciate differences in acquired diversity, ethnicity, gender, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, education, and religion. We celebrate and respect individuals for their distinct talents, skills and abilities and recognize that the varied contributions of a diverse and inclusive workforce enhance benefits to stakeholders and the communities in which we work.

Human Rights Commitment

We have a legal and moral responsibility to support and respect internationally proclaimed human rights. We recognize that our business activities can have potential adverse impact on human rights and seek opportunities to make positive contributions towards the fulfillment of human rights through and within our business activities. We uphold the human rights principles within the United National Global Compact (UNGC) and benchmark our compliance to human rights standards primarily through adherence to domestic laws as these conform to international standards.

We are in the process of implementing a formal mechanism, including a grievance mechanism for stakeholders and Indigenous communities to submit and resolve complaints related to human rights matters.

Human Resources Policy

We monitor the proportional representation of the Company’s directors, executives and senior management that are members of “designated groups” (as defined in Canada’s Employment Equity Act).
We recognize that diversity is a competitive advantage and seek to build diverse teams.
We deploy Gender Based Analysis Plus (GBA+) to identify issues and challenge our assumptions about how people experience our work and workplace.
We invest in our employees development and support their growth, personally and professionally.
We formalize our commitment to individual growth and the pursuit of goals in employee development plans.
Employee performance management is conducted frequently and collaboratively.
We conduct regular benchmarking audits of pay and benefits to ensure our competitiveness and enhance our talent retention.
Respect is a must in all interactions. Discrimination or harassment is not tolerated.
We respect and comply with labour laws and standards in the jurisdiction in which we conduct business.
